Catching Up
Well, I suppose I have a wee bit of catching up to do. I made an attempt at it a couple months ago, but the internet where I live is absolutely terrible and I got too frustrated. The last post I wrote was about the farm plans, which depresses me to look at because I was never able to get my loan, apparently they don’t give giant loans to college students without collateral, who would have guessed? I left things at home in an acceptable state of disarray, the horses are taken care of at least. Omie, Mary, and Rain are with my Aunt Mary in Walton, KY and Joey and Liza Jane are with Sierra in Rowan Co, KY. Who’s Liza you may wonder…
This is Liza, my newest filly. Sierra made me a deal on her that I couldn’t refuse, I’d had my eye on her since she first came to live at Fairy Tale Farm by way of some extensive bartering I was witness too. She’s absolutely gorgeous and a real sweetheart, I’m excited to get back and start working with her.
Joey is doing well with Sierra, she sent me a few pictures of her and she looks very happy there.
I’ve been having a great time in Ireland. I’ve made lots of friends and play lots of music all the time. I spent last weekend in Kinnity castle for a music festival and they loved my singing, which made me feel good but certainly made me hoarse by the end of the weekend.
My favorite place to go here is to Dingle in County Kerry. It’s really beautiful there in town and especially in the country. Here are a few pictures from Kerry:

The girl in the pictures who isn’t me and isn’t the dog is my friend Bernie, we play music together sometimes and she took me to Dingle the first time I went.
My friend Dave took me out on a trip to Connemara in Galway to see the mountains and Kylemore Abbey:
I have a bike rented that I love, it’s green and has a basket, I’ll take a picture before I come home, it’s really lovely. I love here that there are shops where you can buy things, at home there’s only one shop and it’s wal-mart, there are dozens of little tiny shops where you can buy certain things, I wish we had that at home, we should have that, it’s delightful. It’s easy to buy organic produce here too. The pubs close too early, but there’s great traditional music every night in 3 pubs I can name and usually more. I love it here, but I’m still planning on coming home. I may extend the trip to the middle of july to get in some summer busking which I hear can generate several hundred euro a day. I play gigs usually once a week or so. The exchange rate is absolutely terrible, it’s nice to make actual money here instead of raping my checking account back home.
That’s enough for now! I’ll do better to keep things updated here, I guess as often as I can will myself to go to the computer lab, which should be more often since it’s so close and our internet at home is so terrible.

Liza is a beauty and Joey looks happy running in that field. We miss you! Emily updated her blog, check it out. I’m going to do mine soon. Please be careful! I will see you soon, buying a ticket this weekend.
I love you. Thank you for the enlightenment.
