It Begins
For the last few weeks I’ve been working to get a family house on Cherry Grove road fit for human habitation. I’m planning on moving myself and the girls out there in a few months and there’s much to be done. I primed over the kerosine and nicotine stains in the living room and have been scrubbing the stairs to get them ready for whatever I’m going to do. The other day I got curious and removed a panel from the downstairs bedroom. The whole house has cheap nasty paneling over top of the walls that’s bowed out and stained. Underneath I found 2 layers of wallpaper and a few layers of paint, then drywall. I wasn’t brave enough to go through the drywall, but a few days later I got the nerve. Under neath I found these beautiful blue-green horizontal boards. It begins.
I don’t have any new pictures, but here’s a few “before” pictures. The During picutres will be scary, and hopefully the after pictures will be beautiful.
The new babies are doing great. Yesterday Joey’s foal came up to me and licked all the salt off my arms. I thought it was a victory. She won’t let me pet her or anything, but at least she’s interested in humans, even if it is just for the taste.
Rain’s foal is a little better with people, he’ll let me pet all over him, he likes having his ears scratched.
Looks amazing! Good luck with the work. xxx
