Last Baby of 2009
After hanging on for a week past her due date, Omie finally had her foal on sunday morning! It’s a beautiful little colt with a broken blaze and no white feet (hooray!). It was a lot easier on Omie than I thought it would be, the baby is teeny tiny and they look precious together.
I didn’t realize until after this tiny little colt was born how HUGE Lily and Ronan are. They’re beefcakes!
The 4th Annual Morehead Old Time Fiddler’s Convention was this past weekend too. I don’t have a single picture to show for it, but I had a really nice time. I won a few contests, first place in flatfooting, 2nd in dulcimer, and 2nd in string band with Karly, Ana, and Tiffany. There was lots of jamming and we had a shape note singing saturday night until some ungodly hour in the morning. There was a nice dancing man there named Travis who sold me a pair of handmade English leather shoes for dancing in for $20. They’re just about the ugliest, manliest shoes I can imagine, but they fit perfectly and they sound great. I think they’re growing on me!
HOW are you going to leave your babies?? They look so sweet. I love the picture of the baby one sleeping…I can’t wait to see ya!
