I dye and sell wool combed top for spinners and crafters through my etsy site here. Most recently I’ve been dyeing merino top from Texas and before that I was dyeing Rambouillet, both of which are very soft and pleasant to work with.
Sale prices will stay in place for pieces dyed through spring 2009! Hooray for spinners!! My etsy shop has gotten a bit jumbled, all pieces of one colorway might not be listing together. Use the search bar to search my shop for the colorway number (014 etc) and you should see all the pieces of that colorway.

In addition to some lovely new colorways that will soon appear in the shop, I’ve modified my dye process to reduce felting and odor. Instead of using vinegar to set my dyes I’m using citric acid which is odorless. Less odor leads to less post dyeing washing for me which will mean a softer and nicer fiber for you. I’ve also improved my process to maximize absorption of dye and minimize bleeding. Please bear in mind that the darkest of colors may bleed slightly after the first washing. The vast majority of colorways won’t exhibit any noticeable bleeding, but keep an eye on your wash water and if you notice a tinge of color, block your work on a surface that you can wash or that you don’t mind being stained. Buy with confidence! If you find that my wool won’t suit your project after receiving it, return it for a full refund of your purchase price. Also notice in the item titles that I have a new way of labeling my wool that might be of interest to folks wanting to buy multiple pieces of wool from the same colorway. At the end of each title you’ll see a number to indicate the dyepot and piece, looking something like 001-1, 001 for the dye pot number and 1 for the piece number.
