Yarn
The Spring 2009 Rambouillet Wool DK/Sport weight Handdyed yarn from East Kentucky Fibers is now available. Currently it’s for sale at Washington Hall shops in Old Washington, KY for $25/skein. Each skein weighs approx. 4 ounces and has approx 375 yards of wonderfully soft, 2-ply yarn. You get about 13 wraps per inch. I think it feels best on size 3-5 needles.
It was spun at Ohio Valley Natural Fiber Mill in Sardinia, OH by custom order. This is a small run of just 30 lbs and each dyepot has between two and three skeins of yarn in it. I haven’t dyed the full thirty pounds yet, so if you’d like any certain colors or custom orders, just email!
